Faux Fur: Not Always Faux on The Veggie Stand

Think twice before you think about purchasing an item of clothing with “faux” fur adornments because it turns out fake fur isn’t always made from synthetic fibers. In fact, much of the fake fur on the clothing racks today often originate from raccoon dogs, an animal native to Asia. One group sampled the fake fur clothing from a variety of US department stores. They found that 96% of fur sampled was actually real fur. So how do they get away with putting “fake” on the label?
