Crazy Does It Good

Have you noticed that there is a certain abandon to someone who lives outside the box?  I have always enjoyed the characters of this world and the relationships I have had with the crazy ones involve mind blowing sex.  There is something about someone who can let loose of the norms of society and give their all to passion that ignites a spark in me.  People who are sane and able to sustain life in a normal manner usually do not turn me on.
It takes a leap of faith to jump into a sexual relationship.  So many people are afraid of that intensity.  Isn’t that why we are in these bodies?  Aren’t we here to enjoy these pleasures?  The monks of the world would tell me that the spiritual bliss they experience with their meditation is a hundred times as powerful as lowly sex.  I beg to differ.   The joy of two bodies coming together trumps all in my book and if that means I’m crazy then so be it.

Having a drink and transcending this reality is a sign that you are close to the edge.  Taking a hike up a dangerous mountain so that you can jump off it with a para-glider is crazy.  But can you imagine the thrill? Having an art show in the center of the city or publishing a novel that the whole world will read is a high that can’t be imagined.  Hard work will make you high.  Crazy to give it all up for fame and fortune.  Crazy to want to lay in bed with someone who can give you intense pleasure.  Crazy does it good.

There is a certain mind frame that wants us to pay for pleasure.  You don’t deserve to reach the heights if you haven’t paid your dues.  Give me someone to love and lust after and I am happy.  The saying is “Crazy does it good.”   If you think being sane and living a long boring life is the answer to happiness,  think again.

Life is about passion.  It is about taking a chance on some things and ignoring others.  It is about choice.  You are in charge.  You know what you want.  Do you really want to publish that cookbook?  Then go for it.  Take it as far as you can and make it real.  Do you really want to make something with your hands?  Then find some stuff and manipulate it.   Do you want someone to love?  Then put yourself out there.  And if what you find is not what you expected or seems to be just a little off that is okay.  You are out there and you are opening to what is.  It is dangerous.  It is scary.  But unless you work at it and take a chance you will be dull.

The fire will burn you.  The wind will try to move you.  The forest will try to engulf you and the water will try to drown you.   Let them.  Tell your relatives who are worried that you may die because you are making the wrong choices to quit worrying.  They need to let you be. They need to know that you are a crazy person and you are on your own path.  Maybe they will have to care for you  when you fall.  Maybe they will resent all the chances you took.  But you had to do what you did in life.  You had to try things.  You had to experience what this earthly life has to offer.  You had to live outside the box and that is considered crazy.

What does your environment look like?  Are you a hoarder?  Are you lonely?  What is it that you are craving in this world? Why are you here?  What can you say about your life?  I readily admit that I am crazy.  Crazy does it good.  We know that you have to jump off the bridge and go under the water and fly with the red dragonflies to be truly alive.  You have to put yourself out there and take a chance again and again until you die and maybe even beyond to where your soul’s destiny lies.

If you do not live outside the box ya got nothing..
I am nuts and proud of it. You stay the way you are.. we are happier that way

    • Happiness does mean to not be afraid of the dark and to acknowledge that all of humanity is worthy of attention. We are so afraid most of the time and rightly so but if you don’t know who you are in the darkest of times you do not know yourself at all.

Great insight… I am starting to see the strength in weakness. Many people view homeless people with disdain and hate when they ask for change. These people are at their weakest point from our perspective but think of the courage it takes for them to ask someone for change

the flip side about what you are talking about is often seen in those who view everything including persons as disposable items for their own pleasure having no regard for the planet or the people around them. sociopaths are the the prefect model of the dark side as all action is open to them. logic , reason , ethics all have no sway over them they are ruled by their whims and desires or passions. as for me , i prefer to follow the advise of the poet.

“To laugh often and much; to win the respect of intelligent people and the affection of children; to earn the appreciation of honest critics and endure the betrayal of false friends; to appreciate beauty, to find the best in others, to leave the world a little bit better, whether by a healthy child, a garden patch or a redeemed social condition; to know even one life has breathed easier because you have lived, this is to have succeeded.”

Your perspective here makes a lot of sense Suzanne. Your perspective and capacity to love is definitely a mind blowing and admirable
