I just do not think we will see legal gay marriage in my lifetime after I see the crap that went down this week in NC.

i used to have doubts about zoo’s but am now not so sure. you should read “Life of Pi” by Yann Martel for a different view. i think the gay marriage issue is going the way it should state by state. i personally have no big feeling about it one way or the other. time seems to be on the side of the pro gay group. i did appreciate a gay blogger on Salon who said he was sick of the community carrying on like it was the only thing important to gays. the issue sucks all the oxygen up so you would think gays didn’t give a damn about jobs or crappy schools, clean drinking water, wars we are involved in , the growing wealth gap , issues that transcend identity politics. it’s the same thing with the anti abortion groups. you never hear of them fighting with the same intensity for programs like WIC or demanding better health care for children in poverty or day care for single moms. single minded single issue groups.
