 This is in fact a genuine 50-something-year old genuine aluminum tree. This also happens to be my 2011 Christmas card. Card making is actually one of my favorite hobbies. More on that in the New Year! Merry Christmas!

    Your Babchi bought the tree when Clark’s Discount Dept. Store in Waterbury was going out of business about 1962, so it is almost 60 years old. She worked at Clark’s and when they were going out of business, she was bringing home bargains almost everyday. For awhile there, I was getting a new model car kit everyday for about 15 cents per kit!

    My addition/subtraction is off. 2011 minus 1962 = 49 years, not 59 years. Sorry, the caffeine has not kicked in yet!
